What is Imag(e)ine?
Imag(e)ine is a project assigned to Reagan students by the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD). Over the course of the project, students are allowed to experiment and create a piece that is reflective of them as an artist. The guidelines of the project are as follows:
* Students must define the term "community" in their own terms.
* Based on this definition, students must conduct research and apply this research to 2 square artworks.
* Students must create the background for their piece digitally (i.e. on Photoshop), then sketch out shapes/images which they would like to layer over the finished background.
* Junior art classes will then go on a field trip to MIAD, where they will silk screen the shapes/images over their printed background.
~ The finished products will then be displayed on the front of MIAD.
